Notice for Applicants to Okta Roles in New York City:

Okta may use Automated Employment Decision Tools (AEDT), as defined by New York City Local Law 144, that use artificial intelligence, machine learning, or other automated processes to assist in our recruitment and hiring process. Okta utilizes an AEDT to analyze candidate resumes and applications, providing our recruiters with a match score based on a candidate’s alignment with specific job requirements. While these tools are used to improve efficiency and support our recruiting personnel, all final hiring decisions are made by Okta employees. Your application may be rejected, without human review, if an open role is filled while you are still in the recruitment process.

Okta has used a third party vendor since August 2025 to provide such AEDT services, and they have undergone an independent bias audit with results here. The tool evaluates your professional experience, technical skills, education, and other qualifications using information collected directly from your submitted resume and application materials; all such data is retained in accordance with Okta’s Personnel and Job Candidate Privacy Notice and applicable legal requirements. For further information, please refer to Okta’s Personnel and Job Candidate Privacy Notice.
